California’s Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383) requires cities to transform how residents and businesses dispose of food scraps and organic waste. Aiming to cut climate pollutants by 75% and recover at least 20% of edible food, the law mandates that all cities provide organic waste collection services to residents and businesses.
Tripepi Smith supports agencies in meeting these requirements by:
- Developing dedicated websites for easy public access to key information and resources
- Creating social media content, graphics and paid media campaigns to drive awareness and action
- Leading educational workshops for residents, businesses and property managers
- Producing videos to simplify complex regulations
- Designing promotional materials, such as sorting guides, bill inserts, postcards, cart tags and flyers to encourage proper waste disposal
