Tripepi Smith Business Analyst Valerie Nevarez will be speaking at the 2026 Annual Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California (MVCAC) Conference in Rancho Mirage, February 1–4. The event will bring together vector control professionals from across the state to explore emerging challenges, best practices and innovative approaches to protecting public health.
A key social media strategist at Tripepi Smith, Valerie will be a featured speaker, presenting a session titled “Biting Back at Misinformation: How to Build Trust with Data-Informed Communications.” Her presentation will address a growing challenge for public health agencies: translating complex scientific data into clear, credible and actionable messages in an era when misinformation spreads rapidly online.
“Public agencies are doing critical, science-based work every day, but that work only has an impact if people understand and trust it,” said Valerie. “By using data-driven storytelling and transparent communication on social media, agencies can better connect with their communities and counter misinformation before it spreads.”
Valerie’s participation in the MVCAC conference underscores Tripepi Smith’s continued commitment to helping public agencies communicate effectively, build public trust and navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape with confidence.
