Tripepi Smith worked with the City of Orinda on a recent update to the Orinda Evacuation Guide, a key resource aimed at enhancing public safety and preparedness in the event of an emergency. Released earlier this year, the updated guide reflects updated evacuation routes and emergency response information.

“Updates to the Orinda Fire Evacuation Guide reflected a collaborative effort between Tripepi Smith, the City of Orinda and Moraga-Orinda Fire Department protocol,” said Business Analyst Skyler Addison. “Working closely with the City’s wildfire education and outreach coordinator, we refined the map’s evacuation routes and added new designations for Red Flag Days and contraflow lane activation, ensuring the community has the most up-to-date and effective evacuation resources. It’s been rewarding to play a part in developing the original map and providing new updates that directly contribute to public safety.”

The Evacuation Guide brochure is available for download on the City of Orinda’s website. Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the updated information to ensure they are prepared in the event of a disaster.

“Orinda is a community that values safety, sustainability and collaboration,” said Micki Cronin, Senior Management Analyst for the City of Orinda. “Tripepi Smith’s expertise in design and their commitment to enhancing our emergency resources have been invaluable in making our Fire Evacuation Guide more effective and user-friendly.”

About the City of Orinda

The City of Orinda is located in southwest Contra Costa County, within 20 minutes of downtown San Francisco. Orinda was incorporated as a City in 1985, after more than 100 years of gradual development,  and the City has a reputation as a well-managed and stable municipal government and is a relatively new city. Orinda is a family-oriented community with a semi-rural setting. In contrast to the more urban existence of the surrounding area, the tree-studded hillsides of the 12.8 square-mile City contribute to Orinda’s aesthetic beauty.
