Tripepi Smith continues its partnership with Pico Rivera Innovative Municipal Energy (PRIME), the City of Pico Rivera’s Community Choice Aggregator and a member of the California Choice Energy Authority. Since 2020, Tripepi Smith and PRIME have collaborated to advance local clean energy education and outreach.
“Tripepi Smith has helped us reach residents with clear, engaging messages about our energy programs,” said Pico Rivera City Manager Steve Carmona. “We appreciate the team’s support and look forward to another successful year together.”
Tripepi Smith has supported PRIME’s efforts to market new programs to residents through bilingual messaging, graphic design and community outreach. Notable recent projects include sending bilingual postcards to households across Pico Rivera and hosting a Power Choice informational forum that drew 35 attendees to engage in constructive dialogue about the benefits of clean solar energy. These initiatives reinforced PRIME’s goals of energy independence, affordability and sustainability while ensuring PRIME customers understood the resources available to them.
Tripepi Smith’s work contributed to Pico Rivera’s receiving two major recognitions: the Platinum Energy Action Award from the Gateway Cities Council of Governments and a national Gold designation from SolSmart, both reflecting leadership in clean energy access. The Platinum Energy Action Award honors cities that demonstrate innovation and measurable progress toward regional energy efficiency goals. The SolSmart Gold designation recognizes organizations that make it faster and easier for homes and businesses to go solar.
Looking ahead, Tripepi Smith will continue to provide strategic communication services, including message development, campaign planning and graphic design. The team is led by Senior Business Analyst Peter Johnson with support from Business Analyst Olivia Rizzuto.
“PRIME is a forward-thinking client that’s committed to making energy more accessible and sustainable for residents,” said Peter. “We’re proud to help share their story and build stronger connections with the community.”
