The City of Palmdale partnered with Tripepi Smith to design a commemorative logo celebrating the City’s DryTown Water Park’s 20th anniversary. The project required careful attention to maintain consistency with previous anniversary designs while incorporating fresh elements to mark the significant milestone.
“DryTown Water Park has been a cherished destination for Palmdale families for two decades,” said City Manager Ronda Perez. “The logo recognizes the importance of honoring this legacy, and we are grateful for Tripepi Smith’s contribution to our 20th-anniversary celebration.”
Tripepi Smith’s Creative Director Kevin Bostwick and Junior Designer Alexis Mendez embraced the challenge of seamlessly incorporating the “20th Anniversary” text into the existing logo, while ensuring the new design would complement the park’s established visual identity. Overall, the approach maintained continuity with anniversary logos from previous years while adding distinctive elements to commemorate this landmark year.
“DryTown’s brand is fun,” said Kevin, “so Alex worked closely with the City of Palmdale to keep the fun in this anniversary version that will resonate with both longtime visitors and newcomers.”
The new anniversary logo will be featured throughout the water park’s 2024 season, appearing on marketing materials, signage and commemorative items celebrating this significant milestone in Palmdale’s history.
