Tripepi Smith partnered with Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) to produce a strategic social media video series designed to elevate community awareness and strengthen customer connection. The two-part series, “Meet the Staff” and “Meet the Board,” featured short-form videos introducing the professionals and policymakers responsible for delivering clean, reliable power to North County San Diego.

Developed as a people-centered communications initiative, the campaign intentionally shifted the focus beyond rates and energy portfolios to highlight the people advancing CEA’s mission. As a Community Choice Aggregator rooted in local control, CEA’s leadership and staff are central to its identity. The videos combined professional insight with authentic personal touches, offering a transparent and approachable view of the agency.

“Clean Energy Alliance has always prioritized transparency and community engagement, and this video series expands on that commitment,” said Greg Wade, CEO of Clean Energy Alliance. “Tripepi Smith’s creative team captured the authentic voices of our staff and board, showing our residents that their power provider is led by elected officials and staff who are also neighbors who care deeply about the community. The positive response from our customers has been meaningful to see.”

Throughout the campaign, the series consistently ranked among the top-performing posts on CEA’s social media channels, generating notable engagement and reinforcing meaningful connections between the agency and the customers it serves.

“Community Choice Aggregators are built on local leadership and public trust,” said Tripepi Smith Director Sara Madsen. “This series was designed to spotlight the people behind the mission and create space for authentic storytelling. By highlighting both professional expertise and personal perspective, we were able to help CEA strengthen its connection with the community it serves.”

Tripepi Smith managed the full scope of production, including concept development, on-site filming, post-production and social media strategy. Each video balanced subject-matter expertise with moments of personality to ensure the content felt both informative and relatable. Director Sara Madsen led the project with support from Business Analyst Kendall Lowery, Junior Business Analyst Ted Hwang and the firm’s video production team, delivering a cohesive campaign that advanced CEA’s commitment to transparency, trust and community connection.
