Tripepi Smith is excited to share its continued support of the Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC), a leading association group that supports emerging leaders in local government and provides educational resources and networking opportunities to its members, as a top-tier Diamond Level Partner for 2026.
“MMASC appreciates Tripepi Smith’s continued commitment to supporting city managers and local government leaders in Southern California,” said MMASC President Joseph Cisneros. “Their engagement reflects a shared focus on collaboration, leadership development and effective municipal management. We value long term partners like Tripepi Smith who have provided over a decade of support to MMASC.”
In addition to financial contributions, Tripepi Smith has provided photography services at MMASC’s Annual Conference, as well as headshots for its executive board. Other work has included video production and graphic design. Most recently, Tripepi Smith built an entirely new website for the Association on the WordPress platform – work the firm does often through its association support services.
In 2025, MMASC announced a new partnership with the Local Information Network of Knowledge (LINK), a centralized platform created and managed by Tripepi Smith to make curated information on key local government topics easily accessible for local government professionals.
As a Diamond Level Partner, Tripepi Smith dispatches a large team to attend the MMASC Annual Conference and the association’s various regional events. This year’s MMASC Annual Conference team will include Directors Melanie James, Sara Madsen and Sydni Overly, Senior Business Analyst Brandon Lewis and Business Development Manager Amber Stallard.
“MMASC builds future generations of senior leadership for local government agencies. For nearly 20 years I have been watching young analysts turn into effective local government professionals who are leading divisions, departments and entire agencies,” said Ryder Todd Smith, president of Tripepi Smith. “MMASC is full of energy, purpose, is focused on its mission and strives to deliver for its huge membership everyday. I love seeing how far they have come and being a small part in this hugely important organization.”
About MMASC
Formed in 1953 to address the professional needs of local government employees and their private sector counterparts, MMASC is one of the oldest and largest associations of its kind in the nation. It is recognized by both the International City / County Management Association (ICMA) and the League of California Cities. With over 800 members, MMASC represents local governments that serve an estimated 22 million residents. The membership is composed of city managers, HR directors, analysts, graduate students, interns, executive recruiters, private sector consultants, nonprofit managers, county administrators and special district professionals from local governments within a nine-county area of Southern California.
