Tripepi Smith is heading to San Diego for the Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC) Annual Conference, taking place Oct. 28–30 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. This year, Directors Melanie James and Sydni Overly, Videographer Nolan Voge, Business Analysts Cailyn Thompson and Olivia Rizzuto and Junior Business Analyst Cameron Sullivan will represent the firm alongside emerging and established local government professionals from across Southern California.
As part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting local government professionals, Tripepi Smith is proud to serve as both the official Wi-Fi and headshot sponsor for this year’s event. Attendees can visit the Tripepi Smith headshot booth to receive a complimentary, high-resolution professional headshot taken on-site by the team.
Additionally, Sydni and Melanie will co-present a session alongside Best Best & Krieger (BBK) associate Stephanie Veniz for the Credentialed Local Government (CLG) course on Wednesday, October 28. Titled “From Risk to Responsibility: Executive Oversight in Digital Accessibility,” the interactive session will explore digital accessibility as a critical civil rights mandate and core component of public communications. Attendees will learn actionable strategies for executive oversight, risk management and maintaining WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across agency platforms.
On Thursday, October 29, Melanie will moderate an engaging panel discussion titled “Playing Telephone Through City Hall: Improving Internal Communication Across Departments.” City of Rancho Cucamonga City Manager Elisa Cox, City of La Cañada Flintridge Assistant City Manager Arabo Parseghian and City of Rolling Hills Estates Assistant City Manager Alexa Davis will share strategies for breaking down organizational silos, streamlining interdepartmental workflows and building reliable communication systems that keep staff aligned.
“MMASC plays a vital role in empowering local government leaders and encouraging professional development across Southern California,” said Melanie. “We look forward to connecting with attendees, providing valuable resources and sharing practical communications strategies that help public agencies thrive.”
A diamond-level supporter of MMASC, Tripepi Smith has proudly supported the association for more than a decade.
