LogosIn 2024, the Estrella-El Pomar-Creston (EPC) and Shandon-San Juan (SSJ) Water Districts tapped Tripepi Smith to launch a joint quarterly e-newsletter focused on updating residents and stakeholders about work in the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin.

Senior Business Analyst Peter Johnson led the Tripepi Smith team, with support from Senior Graphic Designer Kjerstin Wingert.

The newsletter was created to share updates on collaborative water projects and groundwater sustainability in the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin and support transparency around budget decisions through insights into how rates/funding are structured.

“Unifying communications across two water districts is no small feat. Tripepi Smith gave us the structure, strategy and execution needed to deliver a unified voice and effectively translate our complex work to the public,” said Hillary Graves, President of the EPC Water District.

Tripepi Smith built the newsletter template and developed content, as well as conducted outreach to stakeholders and local media to build its subscriber list.

“Our team enjoyed partnering with these districts to advance their communications and showcase the critical work they are doing to secure the future of the basin,” Peter said.

The partnership unified the districts’ regional water messaging. Sharing resources ensured consistent, professional updates on local water supplies, and the newsletter’s successful launch demonstrated both agencies’ dedication to proactive community engagement and partnership.
