in local government and the communication space, we offer a unique blend of skills to help our clients execute on their goals. Our
team of passionate rock stars delivers communication and engagement services with speed and precision. Tripepi Smith operates
in a remote environment, but the videographer position will typically require onsite work. This role will include early mornings,
evenings, and weekends as required.
Our work is mostly for local government public agency (cities, counties, water districts, special districts) clients. Therefore, this role
includes learning about public agencies and local government policy in order to communicate for our clients in a meaningful way.
The ideal candidate will be able to learn new technologies, skill sets and processes quickly while meeting deadlines with minimal
daily supervision.
Core Job Functions
- Video Production – You will have ample opportunities to show off your video filming, production, and editing skills,
including A/V production, by producing a range of content for clients. Video production content you will capture, may
include, but is not limited to: stock video, interviews, B-roll, drone (if applicable), video editing, script writing, voiceover,
motion graphics/animation, and A/V production. - Ninja Video Production – Ability to use a stabilized smartphone combined with the right equipment to quickly capture a
story and provide timely impact. Going from smartphone capture to an edit on a smart phone and then pushing to social
media will provide speedy delivery on certain critical messages while maintaining reasonable production quality. - Drone Operations – Sometimes our production work may require a drone to be flown. Drone operators are FAA-licensed
at Tripepi Smith and you may be called upon to complete the licensing process to fly one of our drones for photo and
video work. - Animated Video Production – Experience producing animated video content using Adobe Creative Suite, including visual
storytelling, graphic design, and motion graphics, with proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro to create
and edit cohesive, high-quality content. - Photography Support – You may be requested to provide photo services at events, take stock photos or provide
professional headshot photos. You will be expected to edit all photos and deliver a quality finished product to the client. - Project Management – You will manage client projects, and you will ensure that action items and other tasks are
completed. - Quality Assurance – You will review draft deliverables for projects and work you manage and ensure the quality of
materials being delivered to clients. - Event Attendance – You may represent Tripepi Smith at events such as local government association meetings, industry
conferences, etc. - Client Relationship Management – You will serve as a representative of the firm with your clients. You will respond to
communications from clients in a timely and professional manner. You will respond to questions from clients and help
troubleshoot issues with A/V equipment as they arise. You will help provide quotes and proposals to clients or prospective
clients for video, photo or A/V work. - Other duties as assigned by your Project Managers, Account Managers and Principals.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of prior professional experience in a similar setting and/or with similar responsibilities that include videography production, editing (video and photos), photography, and animation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Proficiency with video production equipment (cameras, lenses, audio equipment, lighting, etc)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
- Due to the onsite nature of the work, residing within 50 miles of Fremont, CA is required for this position.
Extra Consideration For:
- Experience and/or personal interest in the local government sector: civic engagement, public administration, public policy
and/or civic technology. - Training and experience with website content management systems such as WordPress.
- Professional photography and/or videography experience using equipment such as Sony, Canon, etc.
- A/V Production experience
- FAA drone license
- Graphic design experience using tools such as the Adobe Suite, Canva, etc
Starting Hourly Wage: $34.00
