Stevenson WA logoThe City of Stevenson partnered with Tripepi Smith to lead community outreach and education efforts for the Stevenson Utility Rate Reduction, Street Repair and Infrastructure Investment Proposition. The proposition asked Stevenson voters to consider approval of a retail sales and use tax measure to address essential street and infrastructure improvements.

Stevenson voters approved the proposition during the February 2025 Special Election. The approved 10-year 0.3% (three cents of every 10 dollars) sales and use tax will now fund the Stevenson Transportation Benefit District, which was established in August 2024 to prioritize key street repairs, road pavings and other critical infrastructure projects.

Senior Business Analyst Sydni Overly led the project, with support from Business Analyst Valerie Nevarez as project manager. Senior Graphic Designer Sean Talbot designed two custom informational mailers that were sent to residents outlining the proposition’s potential impact. Junior Videographer Audrin Baghaie also created an educational animated video about the proposition.

“Empowering communities with clear and accessible information is at the heart of what we do,” said Sydni. “Our team worked closely with the City of Stevenson to ensure residents had the resources they needed to understand the ballot proposition and feel confident in their vote.”
