It brings me great pride when my local government peers tell me, “You guys are everywhere!” While I won’t deny that being omnipresent is a core strategy for the firm, there is a much deeper “why” behind the miles we put on our odometers.
As Tripepi Smith evolves from partner to institution, showing up for public agencies is essential. One of the things I admire most about local government is how it’s built on a tight-knit circle of relationships rooted in shared purpose and collaboration. By being everywhere, Tripepi Smith reinforces its dedication to being an integral part of the connection and cooperation that makes our profession, and our communities, thrive. Plus, as I often remind my team: Cities are about physical space with borders and land, and showing up is a critical part of the job. And one I love.
This May, our commitment was put to the ultimate test. Over a single high-impact week, we deployed 12 members of our team from the coast of San Diego to the state capital in Sacramento to the desert oasis of Indian Wells — simultaneously engaging with California Association of Public Information Officials, California Community Choice Association and California Contract Cities Association. Whether moderating panels on how PIOs can “defy gravity” as strategic partners, celebrating a decade of community choice energy or teaching elected officials how to navigate emergency situations, we were there.
We are grateful for the opportunity to engage in person, share insights gained from partnerships with more than 250 public agencies and learn the latest tactics to help your agency communicate with authenticity and build trust.
Onward,
