Tripepi Smith is offering a heartfelt thank you and warm send-off to Director Christine Martin, who has announced her retirement from the firm. During her tenure, Christine led the growth and expansion of TS Talent Solutions (TSTS), the firm’s recruitment and organizational development division. Bringing more than two decades of public sector experience — including 21 years with the City of Livermore — Christine helped cities, special districts and public agencies attract top leadership and build resilient organizations.

Her efforts helped dozens of public agencies strengthen their teams while connecting dedicated local government professionals to rewarding new career paths,” said President Ryder Todd Smith. “We thank Christine for her incredible contributions in building TSTS into a trusted partner across California, and we wish her all the best in a well-earned retirement.”
Prior to joining Tripepi Smith, Christine built a distinguished public service career at the City of Livermore, serving seven years in the City Manager’s Office as assistant city manager and 14 years as a city planner. As assistant city manager, she built the city’s communications division, oversaw emergency management programs, led its first five-year strategic plan and guided key council subcommittees. A solutions-oriented servant leader, Christine brought this deep local government background to TSTS. Under her direction, TSTS expanded its reach across California, supporting executive searches, organizational goal setting and workplace culture curation.
“Leading TSTS and guiding executive recruitments has been an incredibly rewarding chapter in my career. After spending more than two decades in municipal government, stepping over to the ‘other side’ to help cities and special districts find the right leadership for their communities was deeply fulfilling,” said Christine. “The growth of TSTS is built on the combined efforts, shared vision and collaborative expertise of our entire team. I am immensely proud of what we built together to support local government, and I know the team will continue to deliver excellent service to our public agency partners.”
Although Christine’s departure marks a well-earned milestone, the TSTS team, core services and commitment to client success remain steadfast. With an experienced roster of public affairs strategists executing talent quests and strategic planning initiatives, the division continues to deliver the speed, precision and quality that public agencies count on. Day-to-day operations remain in expert hands with Principal Ryder Todd Smith, Directors Mike Egan and Mark Pulone, Senior Recruitment Coordinator Kylie Benzing, Recruitment Coordinator Morgan Teruel and Assistant Recruitment Coordinators Julia Gale and Sofia Gonzalez. Director Alexis Gillam will step in as TSTS leader, ensuring seamless continuity for clients and ongoing recruitment efforts.
“Christine’s leadership and commitment to public service excellence have set a high benchmark for TSTS,” said Alexis, who, like Christine, has held executive leadership roles as deputy city manager and acting assistant city manager for the City of Malibu and assistant city manager for the City of Imperial. “Success has always been driven by the talent, hard work and collaboration of the entire TSTS team, and that strong foundation remains in place. I am excited to step into this role and continue helping local governments recruit exceptional leaders and strengthen workplace culture.”
