mmasc partners with link

The Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC) has announced a new partnership with the Local Information Network of Knowledge (LINK), a community forum built exclusively for California local government professionals. The collaboration provides MMASC members with streamlined access to a library of resources from agencies across the state, such as policies, programs, RFP samples and staff reports.

LINK enhances the traditional listserv experience — rather than sifting through individual emails, LINK centralizes, archives and date-stamps all activity on the site, making it easier to find or share key information. Through LINK, MMASC members can:

  • Discover reports, policies and program ideas
  • Review detailed case studies
  • Ask questions and share expertise
  • Access sample work products
  • Explore strategies and best practices

LINK worked closely with former MMASC President Jonathan Royas to bring this partnership to life. It will officially launch in December, coinciding with the rollout of the Association’s newly redesigned website by Tripepi Smith.“MMASC is proud to launch our modernized website and partner with LINK to expand the professional tools available to our members,” said MMASC President Joe Cisneros. “Together, these initiatives will help our members connect more efficiently and strengthen our collaboration with one another.”

To help members get started, LINK has released a brief demonstration video highlighting how to search for topics, explore curated discussions and navigate its user-friendly interface. Members must sign up with their government-issued email and use the discount code provided by MMASC.

“Our team built this platform with local government professionals at the forefront. We wanted to create a space that simplifies research, accelerates collaboration and inspires innovation across communities,” said Sydni Overly, Product Manager. “We’re thrilled to see LINK grow and catalyze peer-to-peer connections through our partnership with MMASC!”

The Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC) is one of the oldest and largest professional organizations for local government professionals in the state. MMASC is dedicated to developing excellence in local governance through networking, education and career growth opportunities.
