Sydni Overly is a skilled account lead and project manager with an extensive background in public policy and local government. As a Director for Tripepi Smith, she manages a wide range of complex projects and provides strategic direction for high-impact initiatives, including crisis and emergency communications, public infrastructure, environmental programs and policy education. Sydni also oversees creative projects and comprehensive content development, ranging from website redesigns and video campaigns to social media, print materials and branding. She delivers specialized training for agencies that cover crisis communication, social media strategy, media relations and digital accessibility compliance. Sydni is also the product manager for the Local Information Network of Knowledge (LINK), a community forum for California public agencies to find and share key resources and knowledge.

Sydni developed her foundational leadership skills at the City of Gardena, where she supported several municipal departments and gained experience in intergovernmental relations, emergency management, community outreach and public sector content creation. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from California State University, Long Beach.

Sydni is a certified Hootsuite Social Marketing Professional. She also specializes in crisis communications and completed FEMA’s Professional Development Series and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Crisis Communication Certificate Program.
