Abby Romano brings a strong writing background to the Tripepi Smith team with experience in journalism and leadership in the higher education setting. She graduated from California Baptist University (CBU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations (concentration in International Public Relations) and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Abby’s career has included communications experience in social media, research and online and email marketing communications. She has strong administrative knowledge and interpersonal communication skills, and has thoughtfully handled sensitive and private client information. Hardworking and organized, she gained leadership skills from positions such as Managing Editor of the Banner Newspaper where she led a staff of 40 student writers, designers, photographers, and editors in the creation of the award-winning campus newspaper.
As a business analyst with Tripepi Smith, Abby assists with local government and private sector agencies in carrying out their messages with impact.
Abby is certified in Public Engagement by the Davenport Institute for Public Engagement and Civic Leadership, Hootsuite Social Marketing, Digital Advertising (Hubspot Academy), Sprout Social and Constant Contact. Her clients include the City of Indian Wells, City of Palmdale, City of Napa, City of El Cerrito and the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED). She also provides business development support for the firm’s higher education arm and spanish translation support.
